Platform 1

Platform 1 was incorporated in 2012 and in 2015 more steps were taken to commercialise and market the product offering to business owners.

Mike Warmington joined full time in 2016 and as a Shareholder and Director in 2017.

In 2025 Simon Yock joined Mike as a Shareholder and Director.

Licensees have been added to the business over the years along with development and refinement of the unique product offering.

Director

Mike is a Director of Platform 1.He has a strong understanding of the ownership transition challenges faced by mid-sized business owners and a passion for Platform 1 clients and their ongoing success.

Simon Yock

Director

Following on from a highly successful corporate sales and sales management career, Simon has owned a number of his own businesses across multiple industries and geographies, many with business partners. In these businesses he has focussed on the development of high performing teams and enduring business partnerships. Because of his deep interest and expertise in collaborating with and motivating people he has enjoyed significant success in these businesses.

David Glen

Partner - Auckland

David’s career has spanned several sectors including manufacturing, technology, banking, entertainment and sports management. In many roles as a CEO he has a strong track record of creating value through strategic initiatives to uncover and leverage business potential through product design, process design, pricing, asset utilisation, manufacturing capability, IP, international markets, culture and people.

David O'Connor

David brings over 20 years of Commercial sales and Business-to-Business relationship management experience, and is passionate about supporting Kiwi businesses to grow and thrive on the world stage. Throughout his career, David has successfully grown market opportunities, created sustainable commercial partnerships, and built innovative strategies that deliver strong, sustainable revenue growth.

Tom Rodden

With a background in business ownership and education Tom is passionate about the Platform 1 process and how it helps a business owner exit on their terms. As a school Principal for twenty years and business ownership over fifteen years Tom has the knowledge on what builds value in a business and how the owner can leverage that value to create a successful and profitable exit. That is why he is committed on partnering with business owners who wish to unlock the value in their business.
